Clarence Hugh Mays
Clarence Hugh Mays,75, died of natural causes in Elizabeth City, NC December 4, 2021. Clarence was born in Suffolk, VA and served proudly in the Unites States Army.
Surviving relatives include his loving wife of 49 years, Phyllis F. Mays of the Moyock residence, their son, Kevin Mays (Angela); their daughter, Shannon Dowdy; two granddaughters Logan and Cameryn (all of Moyock), as well as several other relatives and good friends both near and far.
In keeping with Clarence’s advance directives, no services are planned after his cremation. Please express condolences to the family via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.

Clarence was a joy to be working alongside here at Southland in Moyock. His personality and customer service were an asset to the business. Clarence always had a quick wit and would make the day go by in a better way when you worked with him. He was as reliable, trustworthy and dependable as a person could be. May you all be comforted in the days and weeks to come.
