Charmane Brickhouse Shackelford

Aydlett – Charmane Brickhouse Shackelford, 54, of Aydlett passed away unexpectedly June 15, 2017 in Norfolk, VA. Charmane was predeceased by her son, Devin Boyce and her father, Jack Brickhouse.

Charmane grew up in South Mills, NC, graduating from Camden High School in 1981. She enjoyed arts, crafts, knitting and especially spending time with her grandchildren. She has been employed at Food Lion for many years.

Charmane leaves behind, her husband Paul Shackelford of the Aydlett residence; her son, D.J. Boyce also of Aydlett,; her mother Gloria Whitehead (Eddie) of Newport, NC; two sisters, Anna Williams of Lynchburg, VA, Bobbi Jo Brandon (Fred) of Meade, Colorado; one brother Chad Brickhouse (Marta Pizzeck) of Chesapeake, VA; three grandchildren Rylee Hunter Boyce, Tristan Lee Boyce, Jeremy David Boyce; and numerous extended family members and dear friends.

In accordance with Charmane’s wishes, in lieu of a funeral or memorial service, family and friends may view Tuesday June 20, 2017 from 4 pm to 7 pm at Gallop Memorial Chapel Barco (4055 Caratoke Highway Barco,NC).
