Charles Monroe Emerson
Colington – Charles Monroe Emerson died suddenly Friday, November 25, 2016 in Nags Head, NC. Charles was 67. He was born in Roanoke, Virginia- the son of James and Esther Emerson.
“Chuck” as he was best known, served his country bravely in the United States Army during the Vietnam Era. He was a combat medic in the 173rd Airborne Brigade. After returning from Vietnam, he joined the sheriff’s department in Roanoke, VA.
Survivors of Chuck Emerson include is his wife, Margaret “Peggy” Emerson of Colington; two daughters Kelly Reed Emerson of Greenville, NC, and Sarah Emerson of Kill Devil Hills, NC; one son, Eric Emerson and his wife Kym in Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren, Chloe Hammock also in Kill Devil Hills, Kyle Emerson in Dallas, and Ryan Emerson also in Dallas as well as other loving relatives and extended family members and friends.
