  1. Mrs K was my mom’s roommate at Peak for some months. What an honor it was to meet her. I heard from many of the workers at Peak about her personality. She was an artist and taught crochet to the residents. She was very involved with the day to day life around the facility. I was told that she could take care of herself when the occasional resident bully would cross her path. She probably got that from living around Queens. A solid New Yorker. Anyway, it was very special to be near Mrs K during her last days. She was graceful and I witnessed her son Damon visiting a week or so before she passed and got to see her smile and receive love that couldn’t have been better timed as she prepared for her departure. It was beautiful and I am thankful to have been there. May God rest her soul and as my mind sees her – back up in NYC having a blast with all of her relatives passed.
