Carol June Cornelius

Clayton – Carol June Cornelius, 78, passed away on August 11, 2022. She was born in New Ulm, MN on March 8, 1944. Carol was married to the late John Cornelius, and they moved from Pennsylvania to the Outer Banks in 1987. She opened Oceanside Bakery where she loved to bake. Carol was a caring and loving person who enjoyed family, friends, the sun, and a good book.
Carol is survived by her son, Christopher M. Cornelius; daughter in law, Martina Cornelius and grandson Jayden C. Cornelius of Clayton, NC.
The family will honor Carols plans for cremation and there are no services planned at this time. Expressions of sympathy and comfort are welcome via the on-line register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com.

So very sorry to hear about Carol's passing. Spent over thirty years as Carol and John's neighbors in Frisco. Carol always had a kind word and encouragement for everyone. She loved her Camaro and made great fudge!

Carol was the most giving person I have ever met! She was so kind and loving! Chris, I really appreciate you letting me know of her passing, we missed her and John when they moved but were happy she was closer to you, Marina and Jayden. She will be missed! You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers!
