Brenda G. Miller
Brenda G. Miller, of Moyock, North Carolina, passed away on April 28th at the age of 72.
Brenda was born on June 28, 1953, in Bessemer, Alabama to Howard and Betty Ruth McDougal. She was raised in a close-knit family and carried that deep sense of connection with her throughout her life. She later made her home in Moyock, where she became known for her caring heart and her willingness to help anyone in need. Brenda loved the Lord, and she loved her family, and both were evident in the way she lived each day.
She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her children, Ronnie (Tyffany) and Wendy (David); her grandchildren, Evelyn, Ryan, Issac, Taylor, Emilee, Chaz, Izzy, Kam, and Hayden; and her great-grandchild, Brian.
Brenda is also survived by her siblings: Betty (Bob), Glenda (Dave), Marvin (Loretta), and Kenny (Vicky); sister-in-law, Mary; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who loved her dearly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Betty Ruth McDougal; her brother, Tim; and her son, Brian Allen.
Brenda found joy in the everyday moments of life, especially when they were shared with the people she loved. Whether she was cooking for a house full of family, volunteering at her church or the local food bank, or simply sitting with her morning coffee by the window, she had a way of making people feel welcomed, cared for, and at home. Her faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of her life, and it was seen clearly in the love and kindness she extended to others.
She will be deeply missed, but her life leaves behind a legacy of love that will continue to shape her family and all who knew her.
A service to celebrate Brenda’s life will be held on May 8, 2026 at 3:00 PM at Mission Church, 100 Ranchland Dr, Moyock, NC 27958.
