Bettie J. Keller

Southern Shores- Bettie J. Keller passed away Tuesday September 24, 2013 with loving family members present at the Outer banks Hospital.

Born in Hagerstown, MD to Charles A. and Marie N. Guesford. Bettie was married to Oscar K. (Bud) Keller for 67 years. She was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother affectionately known as “Grammy”.

She was employed at Sears in the catalog department for 12 years before taking time off with her family. She returned to work part-time at Ingrams Men’s Shop for 19 years making many friends. She and “Bud” loved to travel, especially along the East Coast – loving the Venice FL area. They moved to Southern Shores, NC with their son and daughter-in-law in 2000.

She is survived by her husband Oscar Keller, daughter Gloria Jean Kline (husband Thomas) of Myrtle Beach, Sons, Charles Edward Keller (wife Shirley) of Hagerstown, MD and Steven E. Keller (wife Tammy) of Southern Shores. Her grandson Christopher (wife Larissa) of Waynesboro, PA, grand daughter Emily of Hagerstown, MD and three great grand children Mason and Marlee Keller of Waynersboro, PA and Layla Wisherd of Hagerstown, MD.

No local service is planned at this time. A memorial service will be held in Hagerstown at a later time. The family gratefully suggests that memorial donations in Bettie Keller’s honor be made to Toys For Tots.
