Beatrice Meekins Lee

Manteo, NC-   Beatrice Meekins Lee entered into his gates with thanksgiving on November 20, 2007.  She was born on December 22, 1916 to N. Price Meekins and Bessie Daniels Meekins.  She was the widow of her beloved James Lee.

She was preceded in death by three of her children; a daughter, Viola, and two sons, James W. (Punch) and Norfleet (NP), and her sister, Lillian Meekins Austin.

She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters; Ella Marie Daniels (husband Leon) and Catholene Lee Cole (husband Hercules); her sister, Pensacola Meekins McClease (husband Elder George) and a brother, Theodore Robinson Meekins; five grandchildresn; Carl Daniels (Rene), Stacy Daniels, Norfleet Daniels (Letha), Trent Cole and Maya Cole; six great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren; her foster family; Betty and Jerry Stratton and Dale, Daniel, and Bruce Davis plus a host of nieces, nephews, and special friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2007 at 1 O’clock in the afternoon at Free Grace Church of Christ, Disciples of Christ on Sir Walter Raleigh Street in Manteo.  Condolences to the family may be sent via the on-line register at www.gallopfuneral services.com.  Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted to serve the family.
