Barbara Ann Quick

Nags Head – Barbara Ann Quick, 78, resident of the Outer Banks, NC, formerly of Meriden, CT., passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents, Frank and Evelyn Posh, as well as her loving husband, Stephen Quick. She was an active member of the local congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses and will be dearly missed by all her friends there.
Barbara was widely known for her expertise in cake decorating. She was a “master” decorator. She owned the “Cake Decorators School and Supplies” business for many years in the Meriden, CT area. She was the winner of many regional and international awards for her incredible creations. Barbara was also awarded the honor of being a judge of cakes by the “International Cake Decorator’s Association.” Barbara was also considered and extraordinary instructor, a fact that her many students would readily attest to.
Barbara is survived by her loving sisters, Judith Banores and Mary DeMartino (James), nephew, Jonathan DeMartino (Felicia), nieces, Ashley DeLuca (Freddie) and Jodi Como (Jesse), and their children, Natalia and Sawyer, whom she loved dearly. She is also survived by two other nephews, AJ Banores (Toni) and Seth Banores, and their children, Darius, Amber, and Zack.
A memorial service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 409 North High Street, East Haven, CT. on Saturday, February 17. Memorial donations in memory of Barbara may be made to the worldwide religious and humanitarian work of Jehovah’s Witnesses through their web site: JW.org
