Anne C. Vineyard

September 18, 2007

Anne C. Vineyard of Kitty Hawk died Tuesday September 18, 2007 after a brave battle with illness.  She was 59.  Anne Vineyard was born August 29, 1948.  She was the only child of the late Dallas and Helen Vineyard of Charleston, West Virginia.

Anne earned her Bachelor’s degree and her Master’s degree in English from Radford University.  For many years Anne was an English professor at West Virginia State University.  Eventually she made her home in Kitty Hawk to be near family members.  She then became a valued employee of Home Depot Corporation.  In her spare time, Anne enjoyed reading, art, poetry, and working in her garden which she took great pride in.

Anne attended All Saints’ Episcopal Church and found great strength and comfort from her church family.  She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by all she touched.

Left to cherish the memory of Anne Vineyard is her beloved cousin and devoted caregiver Beverly Cline of Duck, as well as cousins Chris Cline and John Vineyard of Kitty Hawk, and her aunt,  Lura Vineyard,  a longtime resident of Duck.

The family will hold a celebration of Anne’s life Friday September 21, 2007 at the Gallop Chapel  6917 South Croatan Highway Nags Head at 3 O’clock in the afternoon.  The Reverend Tom Wilson will officiate.    Memorial tributes to Anne may be made to The American Cancer Society PO Box 22718 Oklahoma City, Oklahoma  73123-1718.
