Andrew Joseph Boutot

Andrew Joseph Boutot, 56, known by many as “Drew” passed away on January 26, 2018. He was born in Jamaica, NY on August 4, 1961 to Mary and Ben Boutot. He was a 1979 graduate of Manteo High and was a carpenter and painter by trade.
Andrew loved music, his all-time favorites were RUSH and Lynard Skynard. He also loved astronomy and anything to do with science. All that knew him, know he lived his life on his own terms and in his own way. Knowing he passed away peacefully in his sleep is all we could have wanted for him.
Andrew is loved and remembered by his three sisters; Jeanne Hart & husband Jay of Kill Devil Hills, NC, Diane Overman and husband Carl of Harbinger, Lisa Simpson and husband, Larry also of Kill Devil Hills. Also surviving is Drew’s father, Ben Boutot and wife Betty Jo of Ft. Myers Fl.; nephews, Joseph Scarborough, David Scarborough, and niece, Katherine Heroux.
Andrew was predeceased by his loving Mother, Mary Boutot who we know was anxiously awaiting him with open arms, along with his grandparents, George and Madeleine Moen. Andrew will also be remembered by his uncles, aunts, and cousins, along with his many friends who all loved him.
A celebration and memory of Andrew’s life will be at the Colington Volunteer Fire Dept. on February 17, 2018 1 pm to 4 pm. The family requests that anyone wishing to honor his life do so by donating to: Room in the Inn, PO Box 1135, Manteo, NC 27954.
