Andrew Douglas Stover
Nags Head- Andrew Douglas Stover 28, died Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at his home in Nags Head. Andy was born September 30, 1986 in Washington, DC. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, William and Constance Petrie and his paternal grandparents, William and Nancy Stover.
Andy grew up in Accokeek, Maryland and was a long time resident of Nags Head. Andy graduated from First Flight High School in 2009. He enjoyed visits to local and regional sites and travelled the East Coast extensively, from Maine to Florida. Andy was also actively involved in the Dare County Special Olympics.
Andy is survived by his father Doug Stover and his mother Joan Stover of the Nags Head residence; his sister Jennifer Stover and her husband Jeremy Midgett of Kill Devil Hills; and a host of extended family members .
A celebration of Andy’s life will be at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship in Kitty Hawk, August 1, 2015 at 2:00 pm. The urn burial will be private at Washington National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Andy’s memory may be made to Special Olympics of Dare County, NC.
