Velton Jones Austin, Jr.

Frisco- Velton Jones Austin, Jr., 62 of Frisco died unexpectedly Friday, July 29, 2017. Velton Jr. is  predeceased by his parents, Velton Austin, Sr. and Mary Austin Curles, and his former wife, Sharon Austin.

Surviving Velton Jr. are his three children, Joshua Austin, Shasi Austin and Jacob Austin; three  brothers, Alphe (Debbie) Austin, Richard (Rebecca) Austin and James Kelley. Also left to cherish his memory is one very special grandson Toby Austin and close family friends Clide Perkins and Cameron Brown, and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held August 7, 2017 at Cape Hatteras Baptist Church Frisco,  at 2:00 p.m., with a reception following in the church fellowship hall.

The family would like to thank Hatteras Island Rescue Squad and Dare County EMS for their quick response and Gallop Funeral Services for their personal attention and care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hatteras Island Cancer Foundation.
