  11. Prayers & condolences for Savannah’s family. May Savannah rest in peace. May her spirit watch over Karter.

  12. I have had the fun of watching Savannah grow up as her neighbor. From the fun she had at school, to her first job and then watching her love being a Mom to Karter. Once in awhile she found a few moments to sit on the side deck and play with her phone and talking to friends while Karter was sleeping. She had a special way to always make everyone feel special, always with her great smile. Savannah, you can be a guardian angel and still be there for Karter and your family. They all want to hear from you.

  13. I met Savannah in Nags Head during a dinner that I’ll never forget. During this dinner I’ve never met a more sweet, and gentle spirit in my entire life. We exchanged information because we hit it off and I never got the chance to see her again. They say you encounter angels in this lifetime, and I believe this sweet sweet girl was one of them. Our Heavenly Father is showering her with love.

  14. Our hearts are broken. Savannah was too young to die. We pray for all of her family especially her mother, Gina, her Grandmother, Marcia Brown ,brothers and sisters, all her aunts, uncles ,cousins and most of all her son. May God hold her close to His heart and comfort her loved ones. From Great Aunt Susan Brown-Last

  15. Rest In Peace sweet girl. Though you left us too soon, you touched people in a way they will always remember. My heart goes out to you Lisa and Bart.

  16. Savannah so precious to me. She always called me Nana with such
love. She was like a granddaughter
to me. I loved her so. May you be happy forever in Heaven with the angels. All my love, Nana Nelson

Savannah Dawn Lewis

April 23, 2022

Kill Devil Hills – Savannah Dawn Lewis, 20, went into her Savior’s arms April 23, 2022 in Kill Devil Hills, NC.  Born in Suffolk, VA Savannah was raised in Kill Devil Hills, NC. She attended First Flight High School and proudly earned her diploma from Penn Foster.  Savannah had many goals including a career in medical administration.

Savannah was a bright light in life- always showing care and concern for others like a ray of sunshine from Heaven. Although she faced many challenges, Savannah faced them all with her own unique humor, strength, and courage.

Savannah worked diligently to improve her and her son, Karter’s lives. She was employed with Coastal Cravings and Sunset Grill- two popular restaurants in Duck, NC. In her spare moments, Savannah could be found spending time with Karter on the beach or at a local park. While she will be dearly missed- we are so grateful that in her brief life, Savannah touched and enriched so many of the lives of her family and friends.

Left to cherish Savannah’s memory is her 21month-old son, Karter Nelson; her son’s father, Kavan Nelson both of Kill Devil Hills; her father Robert B. “Bart” Lewis of Aydlett, NC; her grandparents, Lisa Childress (Charles) of Kill Devil Hills and Marcia Brown of Chesapeake, VA; her great-grandmother Patricia “Pat” Harden Goff of Chesapeake, VA; her great-grandfather, Thomas E. Wright (Joan) of Waterlily, NC; her two sisters, Scarlett M. Lewis of Kill Devil Hills and Lyndsey Everett of Williamston, NC; one brother Ezekiel “Zeke” Silverthorne of Kitty Hawk, NC as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members and dear friends.

Friends and family may view Friday, April 29, 2022 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Gallop Funeral Services Nags Head, Chapel.  Savannah’s celebration of life will be held at the Sea Ranch Hotel in Kill Devil Hills, NC Sunday, May 29, 2022 at 2 pm.
