Sara Agnes Anna

Sara Agnes Anna died Wednesday January 14th 2009. Miss Aggie was born March 15th 1928 in Colver, PA.  She worked at the State School in Ebensburg PA, until  retiring to move to Hatteras Island in 1988. Miss Aggie was well known and loved by the Hatteras community for her talented seamstress work which she did out of her home. She sewed uniforms for the Coast Guard and State Ferry crew and did work for many locals and visitors.  She was a member of the Holy Name Catholic Church in Ebensburg, PA.  Agnes is survived by her two daughters Jodi Fariss of Buxton NC and Julie Moore of Johnstown PA; her five grandchildren Anissa, Shawn and Sara Moore in Johnstown PA and  Brandi  and Jackson Fariss of Buxton NC and three great grandchildren.  A memorial service will be held Saturday January 24th at 2:00 pm in the Cape Hatteras Elementary School cafetorium.
