Roberta Mahone Harris

Roberta Mahone Harris, formally of Virginia Beach, VA died on June 7, 2015.  Born in  Norfolk, VA she was predeceased by her loving husband, William “Bill” Harris.  Roberta was a long time volunteer for the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters with the Thalia Circle of Friends.

Roberta was predeceased by her sisters, Patricia M. Fedonchuck and Phyllis M. Graves.

Survivors include her two sons and their wives; James “Jim” Landon Harris and wife, Constance “Connie” of Virginia Beach, VA, Reid Mitchell Harris and wife, Denise, of Nags Head, NC and grandsons; Ryan C. Harris and wife, Kelly of Suffolk, VA and Landon B. Harris of Virginia Beach, VA. Additional survivors include a great granddaughter, great grandson, many nephews, nieces and cousins.

The family wishes to thank the wonderful staff at Sentara Nursing, Currituck, NC for their loving support and exemplary care of Roberta during her final years. “Remember that I did not fear…It was just leaving you that was so hard to face…We cannot see Beyond…But this I know:  I loved you so-’twas heaven here with you!”

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters.

The family will hold a graveside memorial service at Princess Anne Cemetery (Great Neck Road) in Virginia Beach, VA Tuesday June 16, 2015 at 1 pm
