Robert Q. Sellew

Nags Head- Robert Q. Sellew, “Bud”, passed away Monday November 3, 2008. Bud, born in Norfolk, VA in 1931, was the son of the late Robert and Priscilla Sellew. He was predeceased by brother, J. Frank Sellew and sister, Helen Sellew Brinn.

Left to cherish his memory are his Wife Barbara Gray Sellew; his two sisters Patsy Acey and Mary Curtis (Dee), two daughters, Lynne Galewski (Ted) and Pamela Thrift; and grandchildren Michael Galewski, Carrie and John Carmen, and Katy Lawrence- Galloway (Mark).

Bud retired from the government in 1997 to Kitty Hawk with his wife Barbara and their beloved dog Hobo.  He was a member of the Chesapeake Athletic Club.

There will be a memorial service Saturday, November 15, 2008 at 1 pm at the Gallop Funeral Services Chapel in Nags Head. Reverend Curtis Campbell will officiate.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in honor of the Sellew Family to the J. Frank Sellew Memorial Scholarship at Old Dominion University 4417 Monarch Way 4^th  Floor Norfolk, VA  23529. Checks should be payable to the ODU Educational Foundation and include the statement “Endowments 286216” to insure funds are applied to the Sellew Scholarship.
