Peter Marx

Point Harbor- Peter Marx age, 77, died in Norfolk Monday December 31, 2012. He leaves his wife of 50 years, Jean of Point Harbor, NC and two children, Lori Marx, of Piscataway, NJ and Douglas Marx of Susquehanna, PA.

He attended The University of Arizona in Tucson, and Linden High School, in Linden, NJ. Peter served his country honorably with the 495th Missile Battalion stationed at Fort Bliss, TX, and also served six years with the New Jersey National Guard.

Peter started a soda bottling plant called Peak Beverage and then worked for Proctor & Gamble for over 30 years at the food plant in Port Ivory on Staten Island, NY and Perfume located in Avenel, NJ.
Upon retiring from P&G, Peter opened a contract packaging plant called VM Packaging with his partner and friend Richard Virardi.

Peter and his wife Jean have resided in Kill Devil Hills and Point Harbor, NC for the last 14 years. The family will hold a private memorial service at a future date. Memorial donations in memory of Peter Marx would be gratefully received at the Currituck County Humane Society.
