  1. I’ve known Jean (& Gail) since 2002 when Louise and I arrived to give them a cup introducing them to Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church. Over the years our friendship was as special as Jean! She had a wonderful sense of humor and we shared many good times.
It was a blessing to know & love Jean until we meet again! 💕

  2. Dear Siobhán, Aishling and Gail, my heartfelt sympathies to you all on the death of Aunt Jean. I had the pleasure of meeting her here at home and in the States with Moma and Gail – what a lovely, kind, warm and family oriented lady she was who loved those who loved her. May she rest in peace now and enjoy being reunited with her beloved family in heaven xxx

  3. Jean leaves an indeliblle impact on all who knew her. She was rock solid, no nonsense, loyal friend. She cut thru the fog. Like a beacon she would describe perfectly any situation or character. To be her friend was to be in the presence of an exceptional woman. It was a privilege to know her. She was loved and will be missed.

  4. Jean was such a fun and giving person. Her personality would light up a room. She was truly a remarkable woman.

  5. We have such fond memories of Jean. 2006 when we joined KHUM Church, Jean and Gail welcomed us with a pecan pie. They were always smiling.

  6. I have known Jean and Gail for many years, introduced through mutual friends. I knew immediately how special they both were.Jean always had that twinkle in her eye with a warm heart and a great sense of fun.

  10. I most and best remember Jean with a gre at sense of dry humor. Kent and I lived across the street from her and Gail in The Villages; she was in charge of putting up and taking down the large American flag
In their front yard. When things didn’t go smoothly in the putting up or taking down of the flag, I could alway tell because she’s be cussing out whatever wasn’t working about the process. Then, as I would walk by, she’d see me and we’d both start laughing and I’d hear a sag-gum-it. She made my day many times with her humor. Rest in peace, Jean!

  11. My darling friend, Jean. So friendly and so happy–always encouraging and loyal. Before she moved away we would occasionally play cards with friends and what we all enjoyed was her sense of humor and laughs. Her reference to “bees knees” during the games was hilarious. She has taken her place in heaven, but we all will forever miss her.

  12. am a friend of Jean thru Gail Carr who is my cousin. Whenever I was around Jean she lifted my spirit. and I always enjoyed being around her. I wish there were more like her.
