Condolences
My sincere condolences to Marilyn’s family and friends. I had the pleasure of teaching with her at the YMCA, many great memories spent in the pool. May she rest in peace ❤️
We’ve just gotten to know Marilyn in recent years. She had such a lovely spirit and the prettiest smile. We will miss her. Much love and prayers to Reid, and family. Nancy & Charlie Huff
I remember playing tennis with Marilyn and Reid in Colington Harbor. They were so nice and welcoming to my beginner game! A wonderful lady. I'm sorry for your loss... Sincerely, Peggy S
My most sincere condolences to to Reed and all of Marilyn's family and friends. I was fortunate enough to be given the assignment as a Home Health Aid and Companion for Marilyn for a few months last year. It never felt like work! Marilyn, Reed, Freckles and I quickly formed an affectionate bond that has lasted beyond my assignment. Rest in peace, sweet Marilyn. I hope you get to play the organ for the angels!
Marilyn was one of the first to make me feel welcome when we moved here in 2012. She was an amazing woman, a sweet friend and a wonderful neighbor. Condolences to her family and all who loved her. And there are many.
So sorry for your loss. Her fellow choir/bell ringers will always remember her.
I have very fond memories of Marilyn -- such a sweet lady!
Marilyn and Reid were so sweet together. You could just feel their love connection whenever around them. I remember especially at Christmas decorating the church tree. God bless, love and peace Jean
Deborah, Reid and Diana have lost a treasure in their lives, as have all who knew Marilyn and experienced her warmth, generosity, love, talent and presence in so many aspects of their lives and their communities. An irreplaceable soul who will always be missed, whose memories will always bring smiles.
My heart goes out to you, Reid and your family. This is the saddest news I have gotten this year, I loved Marilyn, she became a close friend to us when she matchmade my late husband Wade and myself. We often got together, having so many interests in common. I'm so saddened, Reid! Marylin had the biggest hard and was so much fun to be with! But she is now in good hands up there and I hope to meet her someday again. I love you Reid, thank you both for your friendship! Rest and peace dear friend!
I will never forget Marilyn and all the times I had the pleasure of working with her as a lifeguard at the Outer Banks YMCA. Our Senior Games Swim Team will also miss her contributions to making us a winning Team.❤️
Remembering Marilyn with much love from our time together at church and the Health Department. My condolences to all the family as you share in celebrating her life today
