Marcia A. Reynolds

February 23, 2023

Marcia A. Reynolds, 68, of Coinjock, NC peacefully completed her climb on the stairway to Heaven, February 23, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Marcia was born on July 28, 1954 to the late Ralph and Leanora Aydlett.

In her teenage years, Marcia helped run the family business, Aydlett’s Grocery, worked at Sentara Nursing Center for a number of years and later was self-employed in the residential cleaning business.

Marcia had an infectious smile that would light up a room, and loved to help others when she was able. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas time, and she couldn’t wait to put up and decorate her tree with ornaments she collected through the years. She enjoyed many shopping trips with her family, however no trip was complete without a visit to Chic-Fil-A. Overall, her favorite place to be was at home, watching Hallmark movies, searching the internet, and loved to do word search puzzles.

Marcia is survived by her two children, Kevin and Amy Shinn; siblings, Linda Rowe, Lisa Conner, Ralph Aydlett, Ill (Shirley), Karen McMurray (Steve), and Leslie Aydlett (Steven), along with many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.

Marcia’s wishes were to be cremated, and a private family gathering will be held to celebrate her life at a later date. The family wishes to extend their gratitude to Albemarle Hospice for their kind and loving care. Please share condolences with the family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
