Lucille A. Worley

Lucille Alma Worley 83, of Duck, NC passed away December 25, 2023 at Sentara Albemarle Hospital in Elizabeth City, NC. She went home to be with her Heavenly Father.  Lucille was born January 21, 1940 in Tappahannock, VA.  She was the daughter of William H. Wyatt and Minnie Wyatt (both deceased). Besides her parents, Lucille was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lenny Worley; her sister May Hudson; and her brother-in-law Murmon Hudson.

After graduating from high school, she enlisted in the United States Air Force to serve and defend our country.  In later years, Lucille worked in the banking industry as a trust supervisor. Though she outlived her family, she is survived by many great friends including: Gary Hudson of the Duck, NC residence who looked after her; Alice and Morris Gray who also faithfully cared for Lucille; Mary and Chad Brick and their family who were very old friends of Lucille; and Jack and Sophie, who Lucille considered grandchildren and loved so much.

As Lucille planned, her memorial service will be held at Duck Church Saturday February 3, 2024 at 1 pm.
