Louis J. Winland

Nags Head-  Louis J. Winland 60, died Wednesday August 26, 2015 in Nags Head after a brief illness.  Louis was born May 23, 1955 in Germany.  He was the son of the late Donald and Santina Winland and served his country proudly in the US Marine Corps.

Louis resided in Nags Head for the past several years. Before retiring, he worked extensively in the restaurant and retail grocery businesses.

Survivors include his three sisters Tina Winland of Alexandria, VA, Barbara Gaile (Edward) of Lawrenceville, GA, Doris Guth Jones (Steve) of Myrtle Beach, SC; his brother, Don Winland (Lorriane) of Flint Hill, VA; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family gratefully suggests that memorial donations be made to the North Carolina Wildlife Federation.

In accordance with Louis’  wishes, no memorial services are planned.
