Kenneth Lane Calvert

October 12, 2025

It is with great sadness that we share the loss of a great family member and friend to many- Kenneth Lane Calvert passed on Sunday, October 12, 2025 at his Kill Devil Hills, NC home. He was 67.

Born April 12, 1958 in Norfolk Virginia, Kenny attended Maury High School where he played football. After graduation, Kenny joined the Marines. Later, Kenny lived in the Outer Banks and worked in the food and beverage industry for many years. He was highly regarded by this close-knit group.

Kenny brought great laughter to those he knew and had an infectious, joyous laugh. He enjoyed tending to his many plants and those who visited his home marveled over his ability to nurture them. Besides his plants, Kenny loved caring for his cats and showered them with lots of love, treats and toys.

In his spare time, Kenny was a beach comber extraordinaire and collected many beautiful beach pieces or “Sea Gifts” as he called them.  We will cherish great memories of Kenny and his wonderful life. Thanks, Tamera for your care and help with the house and animals.  Kenny is grinning from above.  Finally, Kenny has gone sea glass hunting along Heaven’s heavenly shores.

We miss you but will be listening for your wonderful laughter, Kenny. Heavenly hugs to you from all of us who love you. Expressions of sympathy are welcome at gallopfuneralservices.com.  Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
