Condolences
Words cannot express my sorrow that John's life was cut short, and the sadness that his loved ones have to endure without him. I grieve with you. John is the father of one of my dearest friends, Kathryn Howland, and I will always be grateful to him for raising such a kind, brave person. I only have fond memories of him. Even as a child I remember him standing out from the other suburban dads. He marched to the beat of his own drum and always seemed to have a mischievous smile on his face. He will be missed.
I am so very sorry to hear about John’s illness and passing. My condolences and heartfelt love I send to Diane, John senior, Katie and Jake. John’s memory will be a blessing.
John was a unique and very special individual and wonderful friend. He was always quick with a laugh, ready to engage in deep conversation about any topic, and always there for those he held dear. We will miss John immensely and send our deepest condolences to Katie, Jake, Diane, John Senior, and Marge.
I am very sorry to learn of John's passing, he definitely Lived Life to the Fullest! I send my condolences to John's family and friends
Our hearts go out to all of John’s family. He was one of our closest friends and such a unique soul he was. We will miss his infectious laugh and witty sense of humor. John will always have a special place in our hearts and we are so thankful for all the great memories we have
John was a neighbor, first in Swan Beach and then in North Swan Beach. Although we weren't close friends, I remember his smile and his joyous laughter that could make even the worse day better. I can still hear his outburst of laughter, quite recently, while walking my dog, Poppy. John noticed some crazy dog antics while driving by in his truck, with his window open. That last laugh, long and heartfelt, will be how I remember John. I am so sorry for your loss. I will miss knowing he was in the world.
Our family knew John when our daughters were growing up together in Ashburn, VA. My husband and I looked forward to meeting him because he always had something interesting to say. We send our condolences to all of his family and friends.
My heart goes out to you and your family. He will be remembered.
My condolences to Marge and the rest of John’s family and friends. I met John a few years ago when he was building his home and we were installing the AC system for him. I really enjoyed working with him on his two home construction projects and considered him a friend, not just a client. He was a multi-talented and extremely kind man and was taken from all of us too soon. In my opinion we could certainly use more people like John on this earth. Live every day as if it may be your last because we never really know what’s in store for us.
I worked with him in the VA sales office. He said it like it was.
I am so sorry to hear of John’s passing. I think of the Howland family often with the deepest affection. My very best to “Uncle” John and “Aunt” Diane, you will always be in my heart.
