George Edward Carver, Sr.

Manteo- On Tuesday June 23, 2009, George Edward Carver, Sr. died peacefully at home surrounded by his family.  George Carver, Sr. was born July 7, 1932 in Hickory Virginia.  He was the son of the late James Arthur Carver and Garnet King Carver and the husband of the late Sarah Mae Carver.

The funeral will be held Sunday June 28, 2009 at 3 O’clock in the afternoon at Free Grace Church of

Christ Disciples of Christ Church in Manteo.  A visitation will be held at church one hour prior to

the service. Burial will follow immediately at Free Grace Church Cemetery. Condolences to the
