Geneva Ann “Genny” Eberhardt Davis

December 17, 2024

Geneva Ann Eberhardt Davis, 79 of Grandy, North Carolina passed away on December 17, 2024 in her home surrounded by family and friends after a prolonged battle with vascular dementia.  Geneva, known as Genny to her friends and MeMaw to her grandchildren, was a resilient woman who faced life’s unexpected challenges with great strength throughout her journey, as she faced many medical challenges.

She was active in her community particularly in her church, Grandy Assembly of God. Genny was a member there for 40 years. She served in many roles over the years including leader of the Women’s Ministries, the church bookstore, and organizing holiday baskets. Her true passion was leading the fellowship hall kitchen and food pantry.  Genny will be sincerely missed by her loved ones. Her family finds comfort in knowing she has joined her husband and is with her lord and savior Jesus Christ.

Genny leaves behind one daughter Elizabeth (Liz) Davis, two grandchildren Andrew Boca (Caroline), Samantha Schember and five great grandchildren; as well as one brother Lawrence Eberhardt (Carol). Genny was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Howard Davis, her parents Lawrence and Margret Eberhardt, and her close friend, Janet Jenkins.

Genny’s preference for cremation will be honored.  There will be a celebration of life service, Saturday December 28, 2024, at Grandy Assembly of God at 1:00 PM. An afterglow gathering in the fellowship hall will immediately follow the service.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations in her name to Grandy Assembly of God or to Albemarle Hospice of Elizabeth City. Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family online at gallopfuneralservices.com.
