Genes Faye Beasley

Rousepock (Colington)- Genes Faye Beasley 72, died in Chesapeake after a valiant battle with cancer, Monday November 21, 2011. Genes was a native of

Rousepock (now Colington). She was the daughter of the late Ira and Bessie Jane Partridge and the sister of the late Rhenda Leigh. Genes enjoyed bowling, trips to Las Vegas, NASCAR racing, and tending her soft crabs. Genes was the long time proprietor of the Rousepock Roadside Dory.

Left to cherish Genes’ memory is her husband of 55 years, Ralph D. Beasley of the Rousepock residence; three sons, Darrell Beasely (Fay) of Colington, Dale Beasley of Colington, Dana Beasley (Pamela) of Harbinger; two sisters, Willene Simpson of Colington, and Iris Silverthorne of Kitty hawk; 6 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and dear friends.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 am Saturday November 26, 2011 at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk. The Reverend Bob Pitsch will officiate. Friends may gather immediately after the service at the Silverthorne residence until 2 PM and at other times at the Beasley residence.
