Gary Win Brown

Gary Win Brown, aged 68, of Poplar Branch, North Carolina died peacefully May 29, 2023. He was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina to the late Ray Elton Brown and Kathleen Waterfield Brown Lorenz. He was preceded in death by his brother, Elton Leonhauser “Zip” Brown.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Gary retired from the Coast Guard Base as an Office Planner. He was a member of Currituck Masonic Lodge #463. He was also a member of Poplar Branch Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-two years, Debra D. Brown; one son, Hunter Brown (Ashley); one daughter, Mary Ann Allen (Gary); one brother, Tommy Brown (Carol); three sisters-in-law, Tammy Raines (Robert), Lesa Jordan (Chip), and Vickie Scott; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A graveside funeral will be held at Poplar Branch Baptist Church Friday, June 2, 2023 at 1pm. Please share condolences with the family at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
