    I wish to express my deepest condolences for the loss of your beloved husband Frank. I have been praying for you and Frank ever since I learned of his illness. Your friend and neighbor Nancy Snead had told me that Frank was ill and needed prayers.
    Nancy often spoke of the kindness and generosity that you and Frank shared with her. She often raved about the delicious meals that Frank prepared and then shared with her.
    Please know that I continue to pray for you and your family as you grieve the loss of one so beloved. May God hold you close and bless you during this very sad time.

Frank Leslie Stokes

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Frank Leslie Stokes, who left this world on December 1, 2025, at the age of 78. Born on January 15, 1947, Frank lived a full and meaningful life marked by devotion to his family, a strong work ethic, and a gentle kindness that touched everyone who knew him.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Stokes, his partner through every season of life. He was a proud and loving father to his children: Leslie (Robbie) Lapham, Christina (Bobby) Dawson, and Charlie “Butch” (Sharron) Wood. He was also a devoted stepfather to Bethany Bajsert and Amy Johnson (Patrick). His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen Stokes, his partner through every season of life. He was a proud and loving father to his children: Leslie (Robbie) Lapham, Christina (Bobby) Dawson, and Charlie “Butch” (Sharron) Wood. He was also a devoted stepfather to Bethany Bajsert and Amy Johnson (Patrick). Also surviving is his sister Carrington Hughes and her husband and Frank’s lifelong friend, Larry Hughes. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Frank enjoyed a long and respected career with Anheuser-Busch Brewery, from which he later retired. He was known for his dedication, reliability, and the lasting friendships he formed throughout his years of service.  He will be remembered for his warmth, his steady presence, and the love he shared generously with family and friends. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him.

The memorial services will be held at Gallop Memorial Chapel in Barco, NC  December 13, 2025, at 1:00 PM. A Celebration of Life will take place on January 24, 2026, at Bells Island Clubhouse at 1:00 PM, with military honors to follow at 2:00 PM.  The family deeply appreciates the support, prayers, and condolences during this difficult time.  Gallop Funeral Services, Nags Head, is entrusted with arrangements.
