Francis S. “Frank” Warnecki
Frank Warnecki, 83, of the Outer Banks, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on July 16, 2025.
After attending La Salle University, he went on to build a distinguished career in the insurance industry, focusing on computer systems during a time of rapid technological change. His work took him across the globe with an international insurance firm, where he became known not only for his technical expertise but for his thoughtful leadership and quiet determination.
One of his proudest accomplishments was becoming an Eagle Scout, a distinction he carried with great pride throughout his life. He remained dedicated to the Scouts for many years, giving back to the organization that helped shape his values and character.
In 1999, he retired to the Outer Banks, where he found joy in the simplicity of life near the water. An avid fisherman, he spent countless hours casting a line and soaking in the beauty of the coast he loved. In retirement, he also devoted himself to the ideals he believed in, becoming an active voice and passionate advocate for the Republican Party.
But above all, his greatest devotion was to his family. He was a beloved husband to his wife, Carole, a proud and loving father to his daughter Bonny and sons Bill and David, and a cherished grandfather and great-grandfather. His presence at family gatherings was a constant source of strength, humor, and warmth.
In accordance with his wishes, there are no immediate plans for services; a celebration of life will be held in the near future. His family asks that he be remembered for the life he lived with integrity, passion, and love.
He will be deeply missed.
In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Colington Volunteer Fire Department. Please share expressions of comfort with the family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.

It is with deep sadness that I learned of the passing of Frank, a great person and a great professional whom I remember fondly. He was a great support for us in Alico Chile and a great friend. Knowing his passion for fishing, we went fishing off Algarrobo beach, where he said it was his first time fishing in the Pacific Ocean. We also toured some vineyards, where he brought back souvenir Chilean wines for his cellar. A big hug to his wife and children, and know that Frank will always be present in our memories, as the great person he was.
