Ellery Clark Midgett II

March 1, 2025

Ellery Clark Midgett, II age 91 passed peacefully March 1, 2025 to be with his Lord and Savior. He was born and raised in Rodanthe, NC.  He was the son of the late Herbert Knowles Midgett and Dorcas Jane Midgett. Ellery was an avid mechanic- and always ready to lend a hand. As a true waterman, Ellery immensely loved his island home.

A beloved father, Ellery is survived by his four children Joni Midgett (Ruth) of Wilmington, NC, Jeffery Midgett (Jody) of Frisco, NC, Jodie Midgett of Frisco, NC, and Jonathan Midgett (Suzanne) also of Wilmington, NC; three grandchildren, Jeffery Midgett, Brandon Midgett, and Kelsey Midgett; one great-grandchild, Austin Midgett, and his special niece and nephew, Linda Midgett and David Midgett.  He also leaves special thanks to Darlene Ochs, whom he loved like a daughter.

Ellery’s celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Memorial donations are welcome at: Cape Hatteras United Methodist Men at PO Box 1591 Buxton, NC 27920.  Expressions of sympathy may be shared with the family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com .
