Ella Katherine Midgett

Grandy- Ella Katherine “Sissie” Midgett, 40, joined her mother and father in heaven on Sunday, July 26, 2015.

Ella was born in Elizabeth City, North Carolina.  She was the daughter of Claud Midgett and Verlin Brickhouse Midgett.  She was the youngest of six children, and the apple of her daddy’s eye.  He was certainly waiting for her when she got to heaven last night.

Ella leaves behind her brothers and their spouses: Peanut and Gail, Joe and Debbie, Robbie and Tina, Cecil and Jenea, and Ike and Rick.  Ella never had children of her own, but she truly loved her nieces and nephews…all 29 of them.

This Friday, at 1pm, the family asks that you join them for her memorial service at Poplar Branch Baptist Church in Grandy, North Carolina.  Dr. Tom Myers will officiate.  There will be a reception afterwards at the home of her brother, Ike, in Grandy.  At other times, you can join the family at his home located at 400 Grandy Road in Grandy.

Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.  In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation to the Ella Midgett Memorial Fund at any State Employees Credit Union in the area.
