Eleanora Stowe McLaine

Hatteras – Eleanora Stowe McLaine, died in Sentara Lee Memorial Hospital, VA. February 20, 2014 with her family by her side. Born November 11, 1927 in Hatteras, NC, she lived a majority of her life in Hatteras, but spent time in Norfolk, VA with her daughters. She Graduated from Cape Hatteras School.  She was a hard worker for her family, a home maker and she also loved her cockatiels.

Eleanora was preceded in death by her Father, Willliam Preston Stowe Sr,  her mother, Lillie G. Stowe and her daughter Tina Maria Gaskill. She is survived by her children Etta Midgette and husband Milton, Samuel Gaskill and wife Sheila, Tod Gaskill and wife Angie, Dola Blakemore and husband Peyton; her siblings Yvonne Austin,  William Preston Stowe Jr. and Eula. Also surviving Eleanora are her grandchildren,  Richard and Patty Midgette , Ashlyn and Charles Bragg, Lanie and Cullen Gaskill, Artie Suminski, Chad Gaskill, Brittni and Dan Whitesides, Justin, Kristin and Taylor Baumgardener, and  Madison Blakemore; her great grandchildren Will, Matthew and Christopher Midgette, Lavin Bragg, Savannah Scarborough, Chyenne and Riley Gaskill, and Farrah Whitesides.

A viewing will be held at The Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Buxton Monday February 24, from 6-8 PM.  The funeral service will be at The Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Buxton Tuesday February 25, at 11am with interment immediately following at the Gaskill Family Cemetery in Frisco.

The family invites friends to meet at the Family Life Center in Buxton following the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her name may be made to a charity of ones choice.
