Clarence (Bud) Routh Melugin III

Manteo – Clarence (Bud) Routh Melugin III, age 63, of Manteo, NC, passed on Thursday, December 13th, at Colony Ridge Nursing Home of complications from COPD.

Bud was born on August 27, 1949 in Dallas, Texas to Clarence (Tex) Routh Melugin and Isabel (Peg) Ram Melugin. He was preceded in death by his father, sisters Jennifer and Amanda Melugin and survived by his mother Isabel, brothers Michael and Jamie Melugin and sister Mary Megan Rouse and numerous nephews and nieces he dearly loved. He was a graduate Of VPI and was a manager for Central Transportation Systems in Ft. Worth, Texas.

He retired to the Outer Banks in 2000 and worked part time at Nags Head Pier which allowed him to indulge his passion for fishing. A memorial service for Bud will be announced at a later date.
