Camille Covalt Hutchison

Manteo – Camille Covalt Hutchison, 72, of Manteo, passed away at home November 4, 2015.

She was born July 3, 1943 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Floyd “June” Covalt, Jr., and Thelma “Scooter” Covalt.  She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Charles “Buzz” Hutchison of Manteo, NC; her daughter, Tracy Lynne Hutchison Baker and her husband, Billy, of Loxahatchee, FL; her son, Charlie and his wife, Holly, of Murphy, NC; her brother, Trey Covalt and his wife, Sarah, of McHenry, IL;  and four grandsons, Travis Baker and R.J., Chase, and Hayes Hutchison.

Camille was a dedicated Registered Nurse for over 40 years, specializing in emergency nursing.  She retired from Murphy Medical Center and more recently from The Outer Banks Hospital in Nags Head, NC.

Camille loved the sea and also her beautiful flowers and herbs.

She wishes to give special thanks to her friends and the staff in the Vidant Health System and also to Dare County Home Health and Hospice for their care and support.

The celebration of Camille’s life will be held at the Gallop Funeral Services Chapel MP 16 in Nags Head Sunday November 15, 2015 at 2 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hands of Hope in Nags Head.
