Barton Edward Phillis, 69, of Kitty Hawk passed away November 29, 2025. Barton leaves behind his loving wife of 36 years, Rita; his siblings, Frank and Wendy; as well many extended family members and close friends.

I will sincerely miss my brother-in-law Bart. Especially his phone calls to let me know about the manager specials in the meat department at Food Lion 😉 God Bless him for he is at peace ❤️
It was always a pleasure and never a dull moment whenever he came in!! We will surly miss his bright amazing smile! My deepest condolences to his wife Rita and for the family
Uncle Bart was such a kind, gentle soul. I have the fondest memories of hanging with him every summer at the beach. He was such a fun Uncle (fireworks!!). While I'm glad he is now at peace, he will be sorely missed.
