  1. I knew Barbara since my teenage years as I grew up in the church where her husband pastored. She was a devoted wife, mother and friend. Barbara will be greatly missed.

  2. So sorry for your loss. I loved Barbara. She was a special cousin to me. 3 yrs. older and wiser. Loved our times at the beach sun bathing and strolling along the waters edge. We didn’t dare wet our hair! Visits to Aunt Eunice’s house was awesome. Chinese food, soap opera’s, American Bandstand, and read True Confession Magazines in Barbara’s room. Barbara Curtis Clark

June 6, 2025

Barbara Curtis Clark, 80, of Jarvisburg, NC died in peace and comfort surrounded by family in her home on Friday, June 6, 2025.  She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Clark and wife Mary of Jarvisburg, NC; a daughter, Tasha Gervais and husband Peter of Durham, NC; and daughter-in-law, Iris Parker. She leaves behind five grandchildren: Kevin “Buddy” Clark, Jr. and wife Ginny, Wayne Clark and wife Taylor, Jeffrey “J.J.” Clark, Jr., Alisa Clark, and Emelia Gervais. She also leaves behind six great-grandchildren.

Now in heaven, to add to the unsurpassable joy of seeing the face of her Savior, she has been reunited with her husband of 56 years, Pastor James “Jim” Clark, her eldest son, Kevin Clark, brother Wayne “Bubba” Curtis, and parents.

A lifelong homemaker, Barbara found purpose and fulfillment in caring for her home and family. A steady helpmate to her husband, she raised her children with patience and unwavering love. She found pleasure in simple joys: reading a good novel, crocheting handmade gifts, or spending unhurried time with loved ones. Her unfailing support was a comfort to all who knew her. Barbara’s legacy lives on in the family she so carefully nurtured, with countless memories woven gently into the fabric of their lives. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

Join us in celebrating her life on Saturday, June 21, 2025 at 2 pm at Currituck Bible Baptist Church, 6339 Caratoke Highway, Grandy, NC 27939. Please leave the family a message of comfort at gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services was entrusted with arrangements.
