Asher W. Richeson

September 25, 2024

Asher W. Richeson, 43, was a loving husband, father, son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend. Asher was born in Elizabeth City, NC on July 15, 1981. With no prior warning, Asher passed away on September 25, 2024 in Greenville, NC.

He is survived by his loving wife of 17 years Tammi Richeson of Kill Devil Hills and their three children, Amarah (18), Harper (10), Ryder (6). Asher also leaves behind, his parents, Shelly and John Richeson of Kitty Hawk and his nephew, Nehemiah Richeson. He leaves behind many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was predeceased by his brothers, Jeremiah and JonMichael Richeson, as well as both maternal and paternal grandparents.

One of Asher’s greatest achievements in his life was his family. He was a loving, supportive and devoted husband to his wife Tammi. Over their 20 years of being together, he could still make her smile with any impression, clever joke or his spontaneous dance moves. He was a protective father with much wisdom and tender guidance and understanding with their children. Asher’s love for music goes beyond listening, it was meaningful, inspiring, and energizing to him. He had a passion for writing which was where he could express his true self with a depth of imagination and enthusiasm. Asher enjoyed playing video games, skateboarding, and any type of water activity. But most of all, Asher loved to make people happy, he could light up any room with his presence, wittiness and infectious laughter.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Liberty Christian Fellowship, 244 Williams Dr. in Kill Devil Hills, NC.  If you are unable to make the service, live streaming is available at https://libertyobx.com/watch/liberty-online
