Anges “Ang” Toler Wise

Kitty Hawk- Anges “Ang” Toler Wise, long time Kitty Hawk resident, died in Nags Head Tuesday May 8, 2012 after a brief battle with cancer. Ang was the daughter of the late William R. Toler, Sr. and Elizabeth Crank Toler the sister of the late Sidney Toler of Kitty Hawk.

Ang was a Dare County native, born in Caffey’s Inlet (presently the area north of Duck) and raised in Kitty Hawk. She attended Kitty Hawk School and after graduating, attended Kings Business College in Raleigh, NC. Along the way, she married her high school sweetheart, Wally, and the couple travelled together extensively during her husband’s military career. Ang was an assistant keeper of the Warwick Lighthouse and was a loyal employee of Outer Banks Contractors as a secretary for over 20 years. She enjoyed her knitting club, the Red Hat Club, and she was a member of several antique car clubs. Ang was a faithful member of Liberty Christian Fellowship Church and served as a volunteer with the Outer Banks Food Pantry. Ang shined brightest while helping others.

Surviving Ang is her devoted husband of 55 years, Wally G. Wise and her son, Oran Wise both of Kitty Hawk; one brother, W.R. Toler, Jr.(Billy) and wife Shirley of Havelock, NC; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; her Liberty Christian church family; and many extended family members and cherished friends.

Calling hours will be Friday May 11, 2012 at The Gallop Chapel MP 16 in Nags Head from 7 to 9 PM. The funeral will be held Saturday May 12, 2012 at 2 pm at Liberty Christian Fellowship Church in Colington. Pastor John Hobbs will officiate. The committal and burial will follow the funeral at Austin Cemetery in Kitty Hawk.

In lieu of flowers the family gratefully suggests that memorial donations be forwarded to the Beach Food Pantry PO Box 1224 Kill Devil Hills, NC 27948.
