Alan Priest

Alan Priest was born in Virginia Beach, VA on September 29, 1964 to Patrica and David Priest. Alan was preceded in death by his father David Priest. He grew up in Virginia Beach, VA before moving to Manteo, NC in 1998. He lived and raised his five children until he passed in the early hours of January 6, 2013.

Alan was an avid fisherman, spending most of his time at The Outer Banks Pier. He built custom pools throughout both Virginia and North Carolina. He loved watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed cooking and growing his own vegetables.

He is survived by his mother Patrica Jackson (JB) of Virginia Beach, a sister, Pam Jones of Virginia Beach and a brother, Nick Priest of Virginia Beach. Also surviving are his five children Kelli of Manteo, NC, Brandon of Alameda, CA, Rachel of Manteo, NC, Chelsea (Jamie) of Manteo, NC and Summer of Bonita, CA. His soul mate Wendy also of Bonita, CA. Four Grandchildren: Robert, Caleb, Gabriella and Jessa all of Manteo, NC.

He also leaves behind a long list of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be forwarded in care of Gallop Funeral Services Inc. A celebration of life will be held at 3 PM Saturday January 12, 2013 at the Gallop Funeral Service Chapel in Nags Head.
