Norman T. Bibeau, Jr.

July 30, 2025

With hearts full of love and gratitude, we celebrate the life of Norman T. Bibeau, Jr., 70, of Harbinger, NC, who passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025. Born on November 22, 1954, in Fall River, MA, to Cecile and Norman T. Bibeau Sr., Norman lived a life rich with love, laughter, and adventure.

A devoted husband, proud stepfather, cherished grandfather “Pep,” loyal son, and loving brother, Norman touched the lives of everyone he met with his generosity, wit, and enduring spirit. He is survived by his beloved wife, Carolyn Hickok Bibeau, and his treasured family: stepsons, John Hunter and wife Lindsey of Camden, NC, AJ Naranjo and wife Kyrstin of Rincon, GA, and William Naranjo of Moyock, NC; grandchildren, Isabella, Jay, Adalynn, Sofia, and Angelina; sister Michelle Bibeau of Somerset, MA, and brother Daniel Bibeau. He was a constant and joyful presence in the lives of his grandchildren, who adored their Pep.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Sr. and Cecile Bibeau, and his sister, Jacqueline A. Dube.

Norman’s professional journey was marked by drive and creativity. After attending St. Angelo College, he launched his career with Beatrice Foods and Sexton Quality Foods, where he excelled as a distribution manager. His entrepreneurial spirit led him to found Norman Frances Associates in 1981, a direct mail service based in Hackensack, NJ. Upon arriving in the Outer Banks, he went to work with his close friend Raju Uppalapati at BDA. Later, he followed his passion for real estate with acquisitions of Elan Vacations and St. Waves Plaza and then co-creating University Park Townhomes alongside his beloved Carolyn.

Norman was a proud New England Patriots fan, and he brought that same fierce loyalty and enthusiasm to all areas of his life. In his free time, he enjoyed shooting sports and navigating the ups and downs of the stock market. His favorite moments, however, were spent on the water with Carolyn and their grandchildren, exploring and collecting driftwood – each piece a small treasure in a lifetime filled with meaningful memories.

A celebration of Norman’s life will be held at 2 pm Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Hilton Garden Inn Outer Banks/Kitty Hawk Ballroom, 5353 N. Virginia Dare Trail, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949. All who knew and loved Norman are welcome. A private family interment will follow at a later date. The family appreciates your love and support and respectfully asks for privacy as they navigate this tender time.
