Judy Marie Potter

A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on Saturday, September 20th, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Poplar Branch Baptist Church, 709 Poplar Branch Rd. Grandy, NC. The memorial service will be followed by a reception in the Fellowship Hall, where we’ll gather to share stories, laughter, and a meal in her memory.

The meal will be catered, so we kindly ask that you RSVP to help us plan accordingly. You may RSVP by contacting (931)572-4792.

Please feel free to extend this invitation to anyone whose life was touched by Judy. We look forward to coming together in love, remembrance, and gratitude for the time we were blessed to spend with her.

Judy M. Potter was gently called home in Elizabeth City, NC August 2, 2025 after 74 years in this world.  She was preceded in death by her husband and very recently by her son, Thomas “TJ” Potter.  Mrs. Potter lived in Grandy for many years and enjoyed taking care of her customers at Walmart.  Her survivors include her son, Richard of Currituck; her daughter, Froanie of Virginia Beach; four grandchildren and numerous other relatives and family friends.

The family is honoring Mrs. Potter’s personal directives for cremation and plans for her celebration of life gathering will be announced in the near future. Please read the full obituary and share expressions of support with the family via the online register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com.
