  1. To Alex’s family, My husband Bill (now deceased) and I knew Alex for years when he had his office in Duck. He was a breath of fresh air and a gifted architect. He designed our soundfront home which we loved so much. There are many unique and beautifully designed homes that remain a tribute to his talent and perseverance. I am sorry for the loss of this caring artist.

  2. I just found out of Alex’s passing. Both my wife and I worked with Alex on several projects here in Houston Texas at William F Stern & Associates during the 1980’s. He was my first mentor and an amazing architect. His attention to detail and project administration gave me the confidence to develop my own path in the business. One year Bill held a competition for his beloved Basset Hound – Cleo’s doghouse and Alex won! The dog house was built in our office courtyard with great fanfare. I’ll never forget how delighted Alex was for the attention which he never sought out in his bigger projects. He was always dedicated to every project and I will miss his friendship very much! Our condolences to his clients, family and friends. Thanks for helping me out when I needed it most my friend.
