Harrison Bartlett Tinsley
Harrison Bartlett Tinsley of Moyock died suddenly at the family residence December 14, 2023. He was 49 and a proud veteran of the United States Navy – from 1996 to his retirement in 2022. For love of country; Harrison completed specialized training and rose to the elite ranks of the Navy SEALS. To properly honor his service and sacrifice, it’s important to share that he had an unwavering commitment to protecting others, he was brave in the face of adversity, and selfless in his devotion to his country and family. His legacy is one that will forever be remembered with deep respect and gratitude. His sacrifices will always be a symbol of courage and heroism for generations to come.
Harrison was born in Florence Alabama. He is proceeded in death by his father, Dr Terry Tinsley. Family members mourning his absence but celebrating his life include his wife Amy, daughter Cameron, son Harrison Jr., his mother, his brother and sister, and a host of other relatives, friends, and his SEAL brotherhood. Amy has honored Harrison’s preference for cremation and plans for services are pending at this time.

Tinsley and I became friends during BUD's and spending lots of time with him in our boat crew. Feisty, hard and smart. A small Seal in size, but a man with a big heart. I will miss him dearly, he was part of the 209 Smurf crew brotherhood.
