Condolences
So sorry to hear about Dickie . Charlotte texted me the information we kept in contact on Facebook. When he was out of high school I got him a job up here in Toledo working with me loved him very much.❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏
I met Dickie for the first time when I was about 16. There was not a more kind and hospitable human than Dickie. His home was your home. He made me feel like part of his family every single time I saw him. I’m beyond lucky to have been blessed with his friendship all these years. Rest in Peace my friend.
We are so sorry for your loss. He will be greatly missed.
Dick will be truly missed. I was so lucky to have him as a neighbor and even luckier to call him a FRIEND. The generosity and compassion he showed towards my family will never be forgotten. People like Dick are few and far between in this world. Not sure why God placed us in each other's lives but I was truly blessed and forever thankful.
Mr. Dick was always smiling and so pleasant. He surely had a heart of gold❤️ He will so be missed by myself and my coworkers At Chesapeake Regional Primary Care of Elizabeth City where we always loved his visits. This man would bring Pizza and sweets to us all to thank us for taking care of him. He didn’t realize we loved taking care of him and Ms. Judie. Fly high Mr. Dick☁️☁️☁️✈️
I am so sorry for your loss. Dick was a wonderfully sweet man. He will be missed.
We are so sorry to hear of Dickie’s very quick passing. He was a good friend of Logan. He had a good sense of humor and we remember him fondly. He was a close friend of Paul and Charlotte Martin and I know he will be missed by all of his friends and family.
Our sympathies to Chris, David and families. Your Dad was one of the smartest, nicest, most thoughtful guys we’ve ever known. Our memories reflect back to his early years in W.Va., through high school and his time in N.C. Always willing to share a laugh and have a good time. We will miss you Dickie, you were truly one of the good guys!
Dave & Chris, So sorry for the loss of your Dad. He was sweet and one of the most original people I've ever met. Praying for yall in the days to come. Love yall. - Mary
Dickie was a good friend of mine and we had great memories working together and fishing trip. We spoke just few weeks ago and talked about the fun day. Prayer for the family and he will be missed.
David and Chris, I am so sorry to hear about your dad's passing. He was always so nice to me. I enjoyed chatting with him when he would come into the animal hospital. The two of us could get carried away telling stories. I pray for you to have peace and comfort now and always.
We were so sad to see that Dick had passed away. He was such a kindhearted man with a pure heart . His thoughtfulness toward others quickly comes to mind when I think about him. Never a frown or scowl but always a smile. Rest in Peace dear fellow. You will be missed.
Dickie and I grew up as together as we could being a grade and year in age apart. Out paths crossed briefly again at WVU and we went our separate ways. I valued our friendship, and contact on media in the past few years. Good memories, he will be missed.
Rest in Peace dear friend. Dick was a friend to all, kind, thoughtful, and caring, a genuine good human being. We were work colleagues for many years and when I expressed and lifelong interest in flying Dick took me flying and that's when I took to the air to earn my certificate in 2005. I will sorely miss you dear friend, you have now truly "slipped the surly bonds of Earth and touched the face of God." May the Lord bring peace and comfort to the Turner family. Eternal be his memory.
Dick always saw the positive in everything and was an encouragement to all who knew him. Camera in hand, he was always looking for the next “good shot” and he always took the time to update us on Judy. As a true “airport bum” HE WILL BE MISSED!
I grew up with dickie AND HIS 2 SISTERS WHO ALSO SURVIVE HIM. Condolences for all the family, he was always a dog lover, and respectful of his parents and neighbors, and very kind to younger kids.
