  1. Dear Gabe,
Our deepest condolences to you and family for your great loss of Leslie. I can’t express the sorrow in my heart for the loss of Leslie. Dear Leslie, I shall miss you my forever best friend. I was just reading our past text and saw your pic when Gabe cut your hair! Looked so cute. God bless you my forever friend. Michele & Jim Warner

  2. Gabe, I share in your grief over the passing of Leslie. We were instant friends when we met in Hawaii in 1979. We were roommates until she went back to the mainland and I believe we were soul sisters till the end. I love her and will forever miss our chats, either by text or phone. Take care of yourself Gabe!

  3. Gabriel, I am so sorry to hear of Leslies passing. She was such a lovely lady,I always looked forward to coming to the store and seeing both of you while on vacation. She will be missed by so many. The shop is such a cherished place for us, and she was the biggest part of that. Much love and prayers.

  4. A wonderful person. Happy to have known her and Gabe. They brightened the beach, welcoming each visitor to their shop. Leslie will be missed greatly.

  5. Dear Gabe, I just heard about Leslie’s passing and I am deeply sorry! Leslie was such a beautiful woman, inside and out. She was very charismatic, fun, loving, honest, and exciting to be around. I always admired how she would say such nice and wonderful things about you! I wish she could have had more time with you, but I know you both will be together again. I feel she is at peace and with “Ed” Dr. Kleiner, “Jack” & Elaine because she missed and loved her brother & parents deeply! Sending you my sincere condolences and healing prayers!!

Leslie K. Scudiero

May 2, 2023

Leslie Kleiner Scudiero, 61, passed away of natural causes at her Colington home Tuesday, May 2, 2023. The last of the Kleiners, Leslie was predeceased by her parents Morris and Elaine Kleiner, and her brother, Edward Kleiner.

Growing up in Long Beach, Long Island, Leslie loved fashion and design. Later in life, she and her husband packed up, left New York, and took their shot at a life on the Outer Banks. Here, Leslie flourished. She eventually opened her own vintage clothing boutique “Something Old, Something New” in Kill Devil Hills which she operated for nearly 20 years. Leslie’s true passion was improving her store and serving her customers. Over the years, she also pitched in with her husband’s jewelry design business.

Leslie leaves behind her husband and true love, Gabriel Scudiero of the Colington home, other relatives, and her dear friends. Gabriel is honoring Leslie’s preference for the simplicity of cremation and no services are planned. As she directed, Gabriel will unite Leslie’s cremated remains with ocean in the Outer Banks and Daytona, Florida. Please share condolences with the family at www.gallopfuneralservices.com. Gallop Funeral Services, Inc. was entrusted with arrangements.
