Charles Roger Scheel Jr.

Kill Devil Hills-Charles Roger Scheel Jr., 61, died Sunday February 20 after a brief illness. Roger was born June 9, 1949 in Richmond, VA and grew up in Virginia, New York and Kentucky. He was the son of the late Christine Snell and Charles Roger Scheel Sr. of Creswell, NC.

Roger had been a resident of Kill Devil Hills and Creswell, NC since the 1970’s, and was the manager of the Wilder Brothers, a long running professional musical act in the Outer Banks. He also worked for First Colony Farms and the local radio station 105.7.

Roger was the brother of the late Thomas L. Scheel and is survived by his adored nieces, Skyler Elise and Trinity Faith Scheel, as well as numerous cherished friends. A celebration of Roger’s life is planed for Sunday February 27th, 2pm at the Ramada Plaza in Kill Devil Hills. Condolences may be expressed via the on-line register at www.gallopfuneralservices.com.
