Ruth Elizabeth Strickland

Ruth Elizabeth Strickland, of Grandy NC, passed away peacefully in her sleep on July 5th 2013. She was born on 12-28-1927 in Washington DC and was the daughter of Frank and Ruth Estelle Kidwell.

Ruth is survived by her son Wayne Strickland and his wife Laura Strickland. Also survived by a Daughter-in-law Terri Strickland, 3 Grandchildren, Jennifer, Erin and Michael and a great-granddaughter.

Before her retirement Ruth worked for the Federal Government as a GSA Contracting Officer.

She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph Strickland, her parents, her Son David Strickland, her sister(Mildred Souder) and brother (Frank Kidwell) and her granddaughter Katie.

There will be a graveside service at Resurrection Cemetery, in Clinton MD, at 10:30 a.m. on July 11th 2013.
