Patricia (Pat) Rosso

Powells Point – Patricia (Pat) Rosso passed away suddenly February 25, 2015 after a brief illness.  Born on March 1, 1956 in San Francisco, California, she grew up in Boulder, Colorado.  Pat married Bill Rosso in 1978, in Colorado, where they continued to live until moving to California in 1985. After ten years in California, she and her family moved to Chapel Hill, North Carolina in 1995, and then in 2005 they relocated to the Outer Banks of North Carolina.

One of Pat’s greatest joys was spending time with her grandchildren, especially playing games with them and watching their sporting events.  She loved the outdoors and nature and was an avid birder and beach walker.  For the last few winters, Pat enjoyed exploring new islands in the Caribbean.  Since 2005 she was the store manager of Nags Head Hammocks in Duck, North Carolina, where she will be greatly missed by both the staff and visitors to the store.

Pat is survived by her daughter, Krystal Rosso-Feren of Chapel Hill and her beloved grandchildren:  Gavin, Laurel and Tara.  She is also survived by her husband of 37 years, Bill Rosso and her brothers Dan Schneider of Alabama and Ron Schneider of Colorado.  She was preceded in death by their beloved son Bill Jr. in 1999.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00pm Wednesday March 4, 2015 at Gallop Funeral Home in Nags Head.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
